Research was carried out into the school nurse service in the East Norfolk Health Area.  It is not a study of the school health service operates.  It is not a study of the school health service.  Nor is it a study of the health needs of school age children.  These broader issues are the context in which the school nursing service operates.  They thereby figure as background, not as focus.  A comprehensive analysis of the school nurse services managed by two East Norfolk Trusts, Norwich Community Health Partnership NHS Trust, and Anglian Harbours NHS Trust was carried out. 
The research was carried out in four overlapping phases; School nurse focus groups, School nurse conference, Empirical data, Supporting empirical and qualitative data.
