  • City College Norwich Change Teams Initiative

In the academic year 2009/2010 a Change Teams initiative was instigated at City College Norwich. The development of the Change Teams built on a process of ‘remodelling’ established by Dame Pat Collarbone within the compulsory education sector and subsequently piloted in the FE sector in 2007/2008.

This short study will briefly outline the Collarbone ‘remodelling’ change agenda, detail how the Change Teams have been established within the College, establish whether the original model has been adapted in the FE setting, and, through interviews, provide examples of the projects undertaken during the first academic year together with staff comment.

  • Review of CCN Diplomas

Diplomas were a recent set of education qualifications introduced to the 14-19 age group that were to be delivered jointly between school and FE college consortia. City College Norwich established several consortia with various schools in the region and several Diploma programmes were developed and delivered by these consortia. This project seeks to review all aspects of these Diplomas, from a review of scale of delivery and uptake to reviewing retention and achievement and making comparison benchmarks with more traditional programmes, whilst also collecting the experiences and perceptions from staff working within these consortia.
