Feedback on the annual report from the Funders of the Beacons Project

Recent feedback received from the funders (HEFCE, RCUK and Wellcome Trust) reviewing end-of-year activiteis that relate to our Beacons project has highlighted our evalaution strategy as best practice among the Beacons nationally, stating: "The funders welcomed the evaluation approach that has been taken and has found that section of the report very useful. We recommend that you share this approach with others".

FE evaluation of HEIs

Considering that there are 5 other Beacon consortia plus a national co-ordinating centre, this statement from the, primarily, HE sector funders highlights that the Research Centre has provided a high standard  in quality of work and approach compared to experiences at other HEI consortia. It is nice to see good practice being highlighted, regardless of by whom.
